Product Details

This fabulous little dress has its Bonwit Teller label and no other. That said, I have had a very similar Oscar de la Renta in the past and this dress has the same high quality construction and finishes as that one. I am positive that this is an unlabeled Oscar and I am sure one day i will stumble across another with a label or find a reference photo. The dress is fabulous and made from layers of silk organza inside the skirt that are topped by a layer of patterned silk with gold lame thread running through the silk. The colors are mix of a soft pastel greens with bits of a vibrant pink thrown in to serve as contrast. The skirt is full and widens at the hem from the waist. The bodice is cut to skim over the body. I love the full sleeves that are caught up at each wrist so that they pouf up above each cuff. The attached padded belt at the waist is fantastic and is detailed with four X shaped, pink rhinestone encrusted jewels- two at the front and two at back. In person this gown literally seems to glow - it is quite beautiful. Presents as excellent condition but has notes below to review concerning condition.

Fully lined in a pale green silk chiffon through the bodice and the sleeves are left unlined. The skirt has two inner layers of green silk organza. It closes with a back painted metal zipper and the belt closes with a hidden snap at the back waist. Each cuff has a hidden snap to close. The belt is attached all the way around and has four pink rhinestone encrusted crosses that hold it in place as well. I see three missing stones in total between all four of these. Because of the placement of these it does not detract. There is also a tear on the front skirt about knee height - it gets lost in the folds but is there so is now a treasure piece
